VR Campus Tours

The university campus tour has been a large part of most colleges and universities recruiting efforts for decades. SeeBoundless has partnered with the states of North Carolina and Mississippi, to open the doors via 360 degree virtual reality scripted tours to all the university and community colleges in both states via a single launching pad. We have filmed all 16 universities and 58 community colleges in North Carolina and in Mississippi we filmed all 8 of their universities and 13 community colleges.

Both are funded by GEAR UP, a national college access initiative from the U.S. Department of Education. The goal is to increase the number of low income students enrolled at and succeeding in postsecondary education. In pursuit of this mission, GEAR UP NC and Get2College Mississippi created VR Apps with the specific purpose of helping students in rural, low wealth, and first-generation families engage with the decision-making process. The tours help both students and other family members visualize themselves in the spaces to understand what it would be like not only on the campus, but in specific classes and courses.
